Here are some general tips on storage and reheating:

Mains

Unless there are specific cooking instructions on your dish, in general we recommend you take off the plastic lid and reheat in a 300-350° oven until warmed through.

Alternatively you can microwave most dishes. Just be sure to transfer to a microwave safe dish.

It’s best to eat your fish dishes within 2 days, and mains with meat or vegetarian can be eaten within 4 days.

Rice & Grains

Keep these in the refrigerator. When ready to eat either warm in the microwave or in a saucepan with a splash of water, covered, on low.

Cookies

Most of our cookies are baked @ 350° for 12-14 minutes from frozen, unless otherwise stated. We’ve included a sheet of parchment  to line your baking sheet with. Space the cookies 1.5” apart.

Egg Bites

Warm these for a few seconds in the microwave, 5 minutes in a 300° oven or a few minutes in an air fryer.

They can also be eaten at room temperature.

Soups & Curries

Keep these in the refrigerator and when you are ready to eat, warm them in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring often.

Baked Meatballs

These can be reheated in a 300° oven for 10 minutes, in the microwave or (our personal favorite) in the air fryer.

Sauces & Dressings

Sauces and salad dressings should be kept refrigerated and will last for approximately 5 days.

Focaccia

Each time you want to enjoy our focaccia, warm it in a 300° oven until re-crisped.

It's best when eaten within 2 days. Beyond that you could cube it up, toast it in the oven to make croutons.

Salmon

Oven: Place the salmon (right on the included parchment!) on a baking sheet and place it in a 350° oven for 5-8 minutes until the salmon is warmed through. Alternatively, if you want a little more color on the top you can stick it under your broiler for 2-3 minutes until the top is more brown...but watch it closely as the glaze can quickly burn!

Microwave: our compostable containers are microwavable. So you could warm it this way.

Skillet: you could place the salmon, flesh side down, in a skillet over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until warmed through.

Roasted Chicken

Reheat roasted chicken, uncovered, in a 350° oven for about 10 minutes until heated through. If you have a convection setting, use it, that way it will encourage the skin to crisp more.

Steel Cut Oats

These oats come in a compostable container. The container isn't plastic, it's made from plants like corn. These containers don't love high heat.

These oats are lovely cold or at room temp but If you want to heat up your oats you can microwave them for about 30 seconds or until warm, not much longer.

Otherwise feel free to scoop them into a microwave safe bowl and microwave until they are hot to your liking.
